Monty, a beloved, beautiful orange tabby cat, was lovingly sent to the rainbow bridge, last night. Cheryl' s words, "she was eighteen years old so she lived a great life, but it is really hard to let go of pets who have been with us so long. Monty used to eat Shredded Wheat with me for breakfast, when I would visit my sister. She was, indeed, a cutie.," really speaks so sweetly to the love that Cheryl holds in her heart for her "fur niece."

I know the pain of losing your fur baby especially after being with them for so long. Monty is so beautiful and he sounds like he was a sweet heart to. I hope that the healing process is a easier one than I have had with the ones I have lost but I know that Monty is not suffering now and will always be in your heart. God be with you and your family. Monte was the cat that made me want to get a cat. She was sweet and loving and a great companion. She was Jasmine’s first kitty friend, and we will both always remember her with happiness and love.

So sorry to hear about Monty passing into kitty heaven. He was lucky to have a loving owner! but we know how much we need them, probably more than they need us!

Two of my favorite "beings" on this earth are Monte and Wende. I am so sorry, Wende, that your friend has left this earth. I do know that she is at peace with so many other animals that have passed before her. I know because I have met so many amazing animals and on 2 occassions could have sworn I felt them leave their bodies. Afterlife aside, Monte was one of my favorites because I think she actually liked me and knew we were helping her. She would let me poke and prod at her without too much protest when I knew in her heart she hated it, and she let many a vet know that. She had an amazing relationship with her human and she was a wonderful friend. Here's to you Monte! we loved you and will never forget your endearing ways. -Dr.Kim
