In Memory Of Mousie Tongue, 3/28/95-8/10/03

Play with the Angels, our beloved Mousie. We miss you so much. The Bridge Babies are so happy with you as their welcoming ambassador. It is two years since you have been gone from our Earthly Plane. You left too soon for us darling one.. too young to have been called. God must have wanted you to do His work. That comforts us.

Thank you for sending Shanti to us to help mend the hole in our hearts. Her little kisses and sweet disposition remind us of your loving presence. I hope you are smiling and purring as you watch her wend her way into our love.

Jo and Marty, Puppy and Trouble and little Shanti

Man does time ever fly. Hard to believe it is already 2 years since Mousie crossed the bridge. I know how special he was to you and how much you still miss him. I wish they could be with us forever. I guess someday, when we meet them at the bridge, they will, right?

to my dear sister,
I remember this day so clearly. Surly God needed a special angel in heaven and he took precious Mousie to sit by his side. Now Mousie is illness free and happy. With tears and smiles from lovely memories and lots of love,
Lorrie

While I didn't know Mousie personally, I sure feel like I did from hearing you talk about this special kitty :)  I love that angel with the kitties you put on there.
Yes - we definitely will see ALL our beloved pets again when we too cross.

Mousie Tongue...I still smile when I remember that name.  The first time I saw Mousie he was a scrawny kitten, but a fighter.  His littermate Olivia went home with me.  I only knew that Mousie was going to a home in another state, as a wedding gift.  It didn't occur to me that I would hear about Mousie in the years to come, but somehow, Olivia and Mousie's paths crossed again.

When I interviewed to become a host back in the golden olden days of AOL, the interviewer mentioned she had a Siamese.  We discovered that we got our babies from the same breeder, quite a coincidence.  When informed of Mousie's birthdate, it sounded familar.  I looked up Olivia's papers and birthday to be certain, and discovered that I was "talking" to Mousie Tongue's mommy.  I found that so amazing.  I distinctly remembered that kitten with a silly name next to my Olivia before he went to his family.  I recall his breeder saying that even though he wasn't in his home yet, they were to call him by his name so he would know it when he went to his family.

Mousie.  Mousie Tongue.  Silly name.  Great cat.  After that day on AOL Mousie became part of my life once again via pictures and emailed stories.  What a silly cat.  And, stories of his littermate Olivia were told and these cats helped form a special bond.  Wonderful, special crazy cats, those two.

I was broken hearted when Olivia developed mammary cancer.  So young, so little time.  Mousie hung in there way beyond what any super cat would have done. Without the outstanding care he received from the best vets and his devoted mommy, he wouldn't have blessed us for as long as he did.

Mousie was indeed special.  Smart.  Goofy.  He put his pawprints on earth and in our hearts forever.

Mousie...please give Olivia a head butt for me.

Hugs,

Mary
