Memorial For Reggie and Cheryl

It is with a heavy heart that I write this memorial post for Reggie, a precious black and white Japanese Chin. After a long illness, his presence has just graced the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon.

Even though  his loving fur-mom, Cheryl is inconsolable with grief,  we want her to know that Reggie is smiling radiantly down upon her, longing for her sadness to pass, and to remind her how loved he felt during his short stay on Earth. He will live in her heart forever.

Reggie is once again free of pain, and has been restored to health and happiness. He is joyously cavorting with his old and new four-legged pals, who eagerly wait to be reunited again with their “people” when their time arrives to join them there.

Please send special prayers for Cheryl to heal her heart and to remember only the wonderful times she shared with her beloved Reggie. May this joy fill her heart and melt the pain she is now feeling.

Visit Reggie’s very special website, and enjoy the many adorable photographs of him.

Cheryl,
I am so sorry about Reggie's passing. Though our pets lives are brief they leave footprints on heart hearts that never fade. No truer words were spoken than Mrs J's "grief is the price we pay for love." Run in perpetual light Reggie!
Love, Joanne

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH REGGIE, I'M IN SO MUCH PAIN TODAY, BUT I KNOW YOU ARE NOW OUT OF PAIN.

You will never be replaced,  you are such a special, loving, intelligent dog. I don't know what I'm going to do without you.

GOD BLESS YOU AND MAY YOU REST IN PEACE,

Dear Cheryl,

I am so sorry for the loss of Reggie. I hope that the sadness you feel for him at this time will soon be replaced by happy memories of your time together.

It is very difficult losing our furry family members and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

With deepest sympathy,
Jo Deibel

The loss of a pet is a terrible time for everyone who has been in this dogs life. I have a sign posted on my computer as a reminder, which was sent to me after my mom passed away in 1996 after a bout with cancer. It is a quote from the famous poet Tagore and it reads like this.
"Death is not extinguishing the light, it is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come."
To me it is a symbol that death brings a new life, but not among us. Reggie is in a new place, a better place, and is very happy. You will be reunited when the time is right. You will embrace each other with wonderous joy and happiness.
My prayers and thoughts are with this family.

Oh, Cheryl, My heart goes out to you. I still light candles for My Sammie - who crossed the bridge last December. They are such a part of our lives.  You will never forget - and Reggie will always be with you - Always.  Time does heal. Love you, Cindy

Cheryl, my heart is aching for you as I know how much you loved
Reggie. I also know first hand the heartbreak of losing something we love so much. Even though you are hurting so badly right now, please take comfort in knowing that Reggie is at peace now, and no longer having to fight for his life. Know that you are not alone, and there are people that are hurting along with you over the loss of your beloved Reggie.

Dear God,

We know that You are taking care of Reggie, as he is up there with You. Now I ask that you take care of Cheryl, as she is down here grieving for her beloved pet. Please give her peace of mind and help her through this time. In Christ's name I pray,

Amen

Dear Fren Cheryl,

A part of your heart will always be with that little black and white furry.  His  physical bodie just couldn't remain with you forever.  However, you, and any of us who have suffered the pain of losing them, know that their spirits and ours will always be connected...by the Love.  Because of this, they are always and forever, only a thought away.

"To all the Beloveds who have gone on before; We had so much fun and shared so much.  My life has been richer for having known you.  Lord, there'll be deaf angels when we meet again, and you leap up and bark!"

In sympathy for your loss,
Your FOB Fren, Otherlyn

Cheryl,
Both you are Reggie are in my prayers.  You are a wonderfully compassionate person, Cheryl, and will therefore feel sadder than many for the passing of your wondeful family member Reggie.  Take solace in knowing that those people who greatly morne the loss of our animal families are capable and gifted at truly experincing the full blessings that God has bestowed upon us.  Be grateful for the love and compassion you shared with Reggie and know that you were blessed by God to have such a fulfilling and compassionate relationship with him.  Also know that God knows that you will be there to provide unconditional love and compassion to many more such loving furry creatures and will again, in the future, bestow upon you another gift of love and purpose.

Lots of love,
Wende

Hi, Cheryl, I know that I am late but this is the first time I have had to really do this for you.. I know how hard it is to deal with this and my prayers are with you. Just remember that he is always in your heart and will not be forgotten. Remember the good times and all the joy that he gave to you and how lucky you both were to have had the time you do together.

Love

Susan

I love your site!  I am also a fellow four-legged friend lover and have two kitties of my own, Mocha and Furball.  As I was browsing through the Internet and reading through a bunch of pet blogs, I stumbled upon yours.  After going through a lot of entries on your site, I can sense a mutual genuine adoration we have for our animals.

I am a huge enthusiast of making sure our pets receive the care they need and deserve.  I am lucky enough to be working with LocalVets.com because it has allowed me to pursue this very passion.
Our core value is to connect pets in need with veterinarians who care.  We currently work with over 2,000 vets across the country from large organizations like Banfield to one doctor locations.  We even work with professional veterinary associations such as VHMA, http://www.vhma.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=266.

I have found LocalVets.com to be a great resource for pet owners like us to use when seeking the closest and most suitable veterinarian in their neighborhood.  As you have experience with vet visits, you know first hand how dreadful it can be for your pet and even you.  Yet, it is inevitable in order to keep our pet healthy and more importantly, when an emergency arises.

There are not enough pet owners who provide their pets with the recommended veterinary visits of twice a year, especially for cats with an average of less than one visit a year.  LocalVets.com can provide a directory that will be extremely helpful and effective for the pet owner in locating a veterinarian in their vicinity who can help them with their pet’s necessary treatment.

Let me know if you have a few minutes to discuss an opportunity to include a link on your blog.

Thanks!

Yours Truly,

Pearl
