Memorial For Danube and Lorrie

On November 13, beautiful 20 year-old Danube peacefully went to the Rainbow Bridge.

This is what Lorrie shared about Danube's passing.

"Today is gloomy and rainy both in nature and in my heart. This morning Danube told me it was time. He looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes and I could see in their depths, that it was time to let him go.

I will miss his tiny voice, his beautiful continence and his calm loving presence. My Snowshoe boy is now with the angels, healthy and strong and sitting in heaven's windows watching my world go by. goodbye old friend."

Rest sweetly dear Danube, knowing your are loved and missed, but will be reunited with Lorrie one day when it is time.

Grief is the price we pay for love, but never sharing that great love is even more painful.

You said "Grief is the price we pay for love, but never sharing that great love is even more painful. "

This is so true. I love my 5 cats, but they DO let you know when it's time...just as my Flakey did a few months ago. I want them to have a good QUALITY of life and as much as it hurts, I won't comprimise that for a QUANTITY of life to keep them with me longer.

All I am sure of is that there will be a LOT of us overrun with old friends made new at Rainbow Bridge.

Danube was a most handsome and dignified furry man and I share your sadness at his passing from you, but at the same time, joy in his transition to the Rainbow Bridge and the Fields of Catnip, where he is free of all earthly care and where you will be reunited some day. May you be blessed with fond memories and visited often by his great soul.
