A Memorial For Shelby: For Donna

Donna's friend, Lorrie emailed me with the sad news about her beautiful cat Shelby's recent residence at the Rainbow Bridge.

This is what Lorrie wrote. Please send prayers for Donna's healing and glow for Shelby new to the Bridge. Thank you.
Jo
I write this with a heavy heart. My dear friend and cyber sister Dnarose has lost her
precious Shelby. Shelby was a very special part of  Dnarose's life. She loved her family and was
treated as one of the kids. We all knew her a beautiful addition to their family.

Shelby loved life. She was alert and very smart. Sometimes too smart. She rattled cupboard door to awaken the family when it was time to eat. She, many times,
had her own little place at the table and sat quietly in her
chair as she ate her favorite foods.  She loved the outer part of pop-tarts and pistachios.

Being a cat of great dignity and understanding , she did not mind taking the occasional bath and sometimes would jump right in if she thought she
needed to be clean.  She also knew exactly where to lay herself to maximize her beauty.

She knew she was beautiful and she also knew how much she was loved.
As she aged she slowed down a bit and only recently became ill. As her health declined her human momma gave her all the care and vet attention that was available to help keep her healthy and happy.

On May 31st Shelby slipped away to join her friends at the Rainbow Bridge.
She filled her family with unconditional love and she will be so greatly missed. Please keep Shelby's family in prayer.

It is so hard when a small fur child leaves our lives.
There is a new and bright star in the heavens tonight.
It is Shelby watching over her family from heaven.
Sleep sweet dear little angel.

I AM EVERYWHERE

Listen can you hear me,
though I am gone away?
Watch and can you see me,
as you toil through your day?

Can you smell my presence,
or feel my tender touch,
the wonder of the life we shared,
the life you miss so much?

Please, hear the gentle tinkling,
of the wind chimes in the breeze,
of the soft wind a door's opening makes,
will put your heart at ease.

Watch the dancing flowers,
or autumn leaves skipping by,
they dance and skip like I did,
before I had to die.

The heady scent of catnip,
the fresh smell of summer sun,
the smell of warm soft fur,
remember our days of fun.

The caressing touch of butterflies,
the feel of blankets warm,
remember how we cuddled,
when ere there was a storm.

Although my body failed me,
my souls  forever there.
Just look and touch and hear and feel,
for I am everywhere.

What a stunning cat. Every true animal lover will share your pain even though you may not actually feel them. Just have comfort knowing prayers and healing power coming to you at your time of loss.
